“Kali Linux is what makes you a hacker”

The honest answer

Myth. Kali is great for learning and great for spinning up a fully kitted attacking machine in minutes, but it’s just a toolbox — it isn’t what makes you a hacker.

There are other operating systems out there, and in some cases a Windows machine is the better choice. (I’m looking at you, Kerberos.)
