About Hackaura
I'm Hackaura, and I'm a penetration tester.
I have been testing for the last three years, and I have recently completed Hack the Box's CPTS (Certified Penetration Testing Specialist) certification.
I also happen to have gained a professional title, for my sins, and now technically have PraCSP at the end of my name. Yikes right?
I started this because most of what I see posted about pentesting is either selling a course or copied from somewhere else. Tool lists nobody really uses. "Day in the life" videos that skip the report writing. Certs talked about as if you can't get hired without all of them.
I decided there needs to be someone to say it as it is, not to sell the dream, but to be honest. I also decided, to actually help those interested in learning cyber security from the red (attackers) side. Without gate keeping, and with nothing to gain for myself, because unlike a lot of people in cyber security, I don't believe in using every opportunity to raise my own profile, or holding some obscure sense of importance over beginners.
So. Everything on here is something I've done or used myself. When I'm not sure about something I'll say so. And it will be honest, as simple as I can make it, guidance and information.
